ChangeNOW Review 2026: No-KYC Swap Tested for 3 Months
i've run over 40 swaps on ChangeNOW since march 2026. BTC to XMR, ETH to USDT, weird pairs nobody else supports. here's the raw truth.

My 3-Month ChangeNOW Experience
First Swap: BTC → XMR
my first swap was 0.01 BTC to XMR. took about 8 minutes from sending to receiving. no ID check, no email, nothing. just paste your XMR address and send BTC to the provided address.
the rate was about 1.2% worse than spot price at that moment. not great, not terrible. for a no-KYC swap with zero friction, i'll take it.
Testing Different Pairs
over 3 months i tested:
- BTC → XMR: ~8 min, 1.0-1.3% spread. reliable.
- ETH → USDT (ERC-20): ~12 min, 0.6% spread. gas fees make ERC-20 expensive though.

Month 2-3: Edge Cases

real example: swapped 0.05 BTC to XMR on June 15. spot rate was 1 BTC = 352 XMR. ChangeNOW gave me 1 BTC = 347.2 XMR. that's 1.36% total cost. not cheap, but i got my XMR in 7 minutes with zero questions asked.

the slow swaps were all during Bitcoin network congestion. ChangeNOW can't control blockchain speed. but their internal processing is consistently fast — usually under 2 minutes after the first confirmation.
Reliability
out of 40+ swaps: zero failed transactions. one swap took 45 minutes (BTC network was clogged). ChangeNOW support responded in under 2 hours when i asked about the delay.
that's a solid track record. compared to GhostSwap which had 2 failed swaps in my testing, ChangeNOW is more reliable.
